A voluntary excess is where you can choose a higher excess for a lower premium.
For example, if you select $500 excess and the hospital bill is $35,000, you pay $500 and the Insurer pay $34,500.
The base plan excess on Ultimate Health & Ultimate Health Max policies does not apply for the Specialist, Everyday Benefits and Dental options.
